What is (machine) intelligence, and how do different disciplines contribute to understanding it?
We are a student-led seminar at Seoul National University built around this one question. Machine intelligence draws on ideas from psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, linguistics and philosophy — yet there are few places, especially for undergraduates, to discuss intelligence across these disciplines. This seminar fills that gap.
Every session is prepared and presented by students. Each one places a machine learning perspective and an adjacent discipline’s perspective side by side on a shared topic — learning, memory, reasoning, language, meaning and more — so that everyone becomes a guide in a familiar field and a beginner in an unfamiliar one.
No prior coursework or specific major is required. If you are curious about what we cover and why, read more about the seminar.
